Sock Bun (no heat) Curls // Hair Tutorial

Here is an AWESOME way to get gorgeous curls without damaging your hair with heat!

This is a very easy, cheap, and effective way to get these beautiful curls!

First just cut the toe out of a sock

and roll it up.

While hair is still damp, put it up into a high ponytail.
Then send all hair through the suck bun and roll it all down onto
your head evenly.

Sleep in it overnight (it is surprisingly comfortable).

You can even wear it just like that in a bun too. :)

Take it down in the morning and that's it!

Beautiful curls!!!

(tip: if your hair is super thick and doesn't really
hold a curl, you can half your hair and put it up in two sock buns!)

Maternity Outfit Post // Blue & White, Stripes & Jeans

Hey y'all!  Wow, it's so crazy to realize that my little boy will turn 2 years old this weekend!  Where has the time flown?  In only about 3 1/2 months we will be welcoming our new baby boy into the world!  Big changes coming around here.  Well, anyways, I'm pretty excited about having two little munchkin fellers running around. :-)

Sorry for the odd lighting in all of these pictures :-/
With my quickly growing baby belly, it is hard sometimes to find outfits that
are comfortable, but also look nice.  This one of definitely fits that description!

My daily hairstyles lately have ALL been some type of bun!  Today's was a Sock Bun.
Bun styles are just soooooo practical for mom life, summer heat,
and can be thrown into place in a jiffy.  I highly recommend them. :-)

Beauty Tip // DIY Honey Hair Moisturizer also a Natural Hair Lightener

I had known about this forever, but just finally got around to doing it and am very glad I tried it (the before picture was taken right after taking my hair out of a braid; that's why its not as straight).  I was so amazed as to how healthy it made my hair feel!
All you do is combine equal amounts of honey (I used the honey
from our beehives) and your favorite conditioner

 and mix together thoroughly.

While your hair is damp, completely run the mixture all through it.  You can leave it in, cover your hair with a plastic bag, and sleep in it over night (supposedly it is more effective that way), but I just did it in the shower and then shampooed and conditioned hair as usual.  The is a very healthy way to strengthen and moisturize your hair and also will bring the life back into your hair.  It may also subtly lighten your hair as well, as it did mine, making the natural blonde highlights more obvious.
