Start with your hair down and
place a headband on the back of your head.
Now begin rolling your hair in and around the headband.
Tip: depending on your hair type, you may want to secure with bobby pins as you go, instead of waiting until the end.
Do the same from the other side of your head. Finally, roll the remaining middle piece in and around the headband and secure all hair with bobby pins.
Voila! An adorable updo that works for any occasion. Another plus is that this style works regardless of hair length and it doesn't matter whether you do or don't have it cut into layers.
Very Elegant.
So Pretty.
What ways do y'all usually style a headband?
Are there any "special occasion" or "less than 5 min." hairstyle that you use a lot?
I'd love to hear about them!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by! Each and every comment that y'all write truly brightens my day. :)
That looks gorgeous! Does it stay in place all day? I'm looking forward to trying it. (:

Thank you, and yes it does stay in place, but it really helps too if you pin the top/front of the headband good to your hair while your styling it. That can help for keeping it from slipping then and in place nicely for the day.

Thank you for sharing this! I tried it this morning and really loved it!
ReplyDeleteIt did start to come loose after a bit but that is because I think the band I used was too tight on my head and kept sliding off the back and I had a wee one tugging at it too but otherwise it was so easy to do and even after all that still looks good right now!

Hey, Elisabeth! Thank you so much for your comment. I'm really glad you liked it and that it seemed to work okay. A looser headband might help. the one I used on Chelsey was kind of loose, wide at the top, and smaller at the base which seemed to help.

Such a beautiful, classy, feminine and easy hairstyle! Thanks Alice for taking the time to share this post. (mom tried the DIY conditioner, boy did that help her out with the tangles) ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you are all having a wonderful day.
